The second meeting of the MIIT Governing Council, chaired by Dr. Thein Win, Director-General, Department of Higher Education, Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Chairman of the MIIT Governing Council, was conducted on October 17, 2018 at MIIT, Mandalay, Myanmar. Members of the Governing Council from both Myanmar and India were in attendance. Various matters pertaining to the administration and academic functions of MIIT were discussed during the meeting.

The convocation ceremony for the second and third batches of the Postgraduate Diploma in Software Development (PGDSD) programme was also organised on the sidelines of the meeting. Dr. Thein Win, Chairman, MIIT Governing Council and MIIT Senate presided over the ceremony as the Chief Guest.
