Mr. Nandan Singh Bhaisora, Consul General of India in Mandalay, visited MIIT on March 29. He was on campus in order to donate several books to the MIIT Library.
H. E. Saurabh Kumar, Ambassador of India in Myanmar, Mr. Nandan Singh Bhaisora, Consul General of India in Mandalay, and Dr. Muthukumarasamy B., First Secretary, Development Projects Assistance, Embassy of India in Yangon visited MIIT on March 12, 2019.
The second meeting of the MIIT Governing Council, chaired by Dr. Thein Win, Director-General, Department of Higher Education, Government of the Republic of the Union of Myanmar and Chairman of the MIIT Governing Council, was conducted on October 17, 2018 at MIIT, Mandalay, Myanmar.
On September 11, 2018, Prof. Sinha delivered an invited lecture at St. Xavier’s Catholic College of Engineering, Nagercoil, India on the topic of “Developing employability skills using ICT tools”.
MCPC 2018 saw 71 teams from universities from across Myanmar vying for the top prize. MIIT was represented at MCPC for the very first time by Mad Lads. The team comprised of three 3rd year students from the B.E. (Hons.) programme – Su Eaindray Htet, Saw Htoo Naing, and Thi Ha Min Maung.
As part of the Sakura Science Programme, 4 young faculty members from MIIT visited Japan during May 10 to May 19, 2018.
MIIT, in collaboration with the University of Miyazaki, Japan, organised the 1st International Conference on Big Data Analysis and Deep Learning Applications at the University of Miyazaki from 14-15th May, 2018.
