Biography
Dr. Myat Thuzar Tun is serving as a Pro-Rector of Myanmar Institute of Information Technology (MIIT) and taking responsibility for administration of all activities related to academics.
She was one of the contributors of English-Myanmar Translation System started at UCSY NLP Research Department with four members in 2006. She got third level excellent award in the science field in 2008.
She is mainly interested in the areas of Natural Language Processing and Data Analytics. Project Management and Application Development are other areas of interest.
Education
Dr. Myat Thuzar Tun received Ph.D. (Information Technology) from University of Computer Studies, Yangon (UCSY). Her Ph.D. thesis was in the area of Natural Language Processing with the title “An English Syntax Analyzer for English-to-Myanmar Machine Translation”.
Experience
Dr. Myat Thuzar Tun has more than 20 years of experience in teaching and doing research.
Before joining to MIIT, she served mostly at Computer Universities. She taught undergraduate & postgraduate courses and supervised Master candidates.
She supervised postgraduate diploma projects when she served at India-Myanmar Center for Enhancement of IT Skills (IMCEITS) under the department of Research and Innovation, Ministry of Science and Technology.
