Biography

Sin Thi Yar Myint (also known as Cynthia Myint) completed her Ph.D. in information technology from the University of Computer Studies, Mandalay in 2014. Her doctoral dissertation was on the subject of Myanmar word segmentation.  

Prior to joining MIIT, Dr. Cynthia Myint worked as a lecturer in the Department of Information Science, Computer University, Pinlon. During her academic career, she has attended numerous talks, workshops, and conferences hosted by the Ministry of Education, Myanmar and other computer science universities in Myanmar.  

Dr. Cynthia Myint has more than 15 years of experience in teaching computer science. She is interested in natural language processing, especially in relation to the Myanmar language.
