As part of Faculty Development Initiative at MIIT, we have purchased a software product called “Smarttalk”.

Smarttalk consists of a comprehensive collection of lessons primarily focusing on the spoken aspects of the English Language. Indeed, some of the faculty members at MIIT who had gone through an earlier program had the product installed on their computers. 

This product is now available for use by all faculty (as well as students) of MIIT. Anyone who wants to use this product may contact Prof. Chitra Lakshman or Aravind. They will schedule a date-time-venue for the installation of the product and activate the valid user license.

Once installed, faculty members and students can explore the product on their own. Or they can contact Prof. Chitra Lakshman for “guided self-learning”. A structured learning programme is also in the works.
