MCPC 2018 saw 71 teams from universities from across Myanmar vying for the top prize. MIIT was represented at MCPC for the very first time by Mad Lads. The team comprised of three 3rd year students from the B.E. (Hons.) programme – Su Eaindray Htet, Saw Htoo Naing, and Thi Ha Min Maung.
All-Round Youth Development Festival 2018 was conducted from August 11-13, 2018 at Mandalay University, Mandalay. About 70 students of MIIT, accompanied by a few faculty members, attended the festival.
Prof. Sinha visited Computer University, Mandalay on June 7, 2018 and delivered a guest lecture at the request of its Rector, Dr. Kwa Zwa Soe.

MIIT, in collaboration with the University of Miyazaki, Japan, organised the 1st International Conference on Big Data Analysis and Deep Learning Applications at the University of Miyazaki from 14-15th May, 2018.
The Faculty Research Programme will be supported partly by the MIIT Project of the Government of India and administered by IIIT-B.
As a parting gift, Dr. Roger Marshall, Senior Fulbright Scholar at MIIT, has donated money to MIIT for the institution of a student award in the memory of his father and his mother-in-law.
