Overview

MIIT was created as part of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two countries, Myanmar and India. India, through the International Institute of Information Technology, Bangalore (IIIT-B), is implementing the MIIT Project at Mandalay, Myanmar since 2015. The support for MIIT comes in various forms – IT infrastructure, labs, curriculum design, teaching, faculty development, capacity building, etc. 

In the coming year, one of the focus areas of support is going to be faculty research. The Faculty Research Programme will be supported partly by the MIIT Project of the Government of India through the MIIT Faculty Development Initiatives of IIIT-B. 

All Myanmar faculty members of MIIT are invited to formally apply for support under this initiative by submitting a research proposal.
