An offer of admission to one of the B.E. (Hons.) programmes in CSE or ECE will be made based on the applicant’s merit and their preference for CSE/ECE. The merit percentage is calculated as a weighted average of marks obtained in the entrance exam (60%) and marks obtained in the Matriculation Exam of Myanmar (40%). A merit list is drawn based on the merit percentage of all applicants, in descending order. An applicant is drawn from the top of the merit list and offered admission to either B.E. (Hons.) in CSE or B.E. (Hons.) in ECE, based on the availability of seats and applicant preference. Then the next applicant in the merit list is considered. This goes on till all the available seats are allocated. At present, there are 60 seats for the B.E. (Hons.) in CSE programme and 60 seats for the B.E. (Hons.) in ECE programme.
Applicants offered admission will be informed and required to accept their offer by the stated deadline. They will also be required to complete some admission-related formalities.
