While the faculty development programmes at IIIT-B can only handle a limited number of faculty members, structured programmes are organised on a regular basis right at the MIIT campus in Mandalay. The resident Indian faculty members of MIIT typically act as mentors and faculty development resource persons.
Each MIIT faculty from Myanmar works closely with a MIIT faculty from India in specific courses offered to the students of the various degree programmes. As part of this plan, Myanmar faculty are expected to strengthen their subject-matter expertise, teaching methodologies involving focus on learning outcomes, assessment methodologies, and use of educational technologies. As part of these structured programmes, nearly all Myanmar faculty of MIIT participate in the courses conducted during the various semesters.
