Course Objectives
- Discuss basics of sensors, actuators, and mechatronics
- Describe and distinguish characteristics of sensors and actuators
- Analyse different types of sensors, such as optical, acoustic, thermal, and magnetic
- Articulate MEMS and smart sensors
- Demonstrate few case studies based on Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and self-driving cars as applications of the concepts covered in the course

- Sensors and actuators (introduction, performance characteristics of sensors and actuators, optical sensors, temperature sensors, magnetic and electromagnetic sensors, mechanical sensors, acoustic sensors, MEMS, smart sensors, actuators)
- Mechatronics (case studies based on Advanced Driver Assistance System (ADAS) and self-driving cars)
