As a young university, MIIT relies heavily on developing strong collaborations with industry, other universities, and research organisations to strengthen its academic programmes, IT infrastructure, laboratories, and educational processes. MIIT places specific emphasis on developing university-industry linkages with companies in Myanmar, India, and the world at large. These are still early days, but the following collaborations indicate the intent of our collaborations and the direction they will take in the coming years:

As mentor institute for MIIT, IIIT-B is actively involved in exploring collaborations with companies and research institutions in India on behalf of MIIT. MIIT, too, is engaged in discussions with industry professionals in Thailand, Singapore, and China. Several of these collaborations are expected to be formalised over the next few years.
