Campus Tour
MIIT is located on a sprawling seven-acre campus in the south-western part of Mandalay city. The classrooms and laboratories operate from a well-ventilated and carefully-designed six-story structure which blends functionality, local aesthetics, and an atmosphere of openness and learning. The philosophy behind the modern design is to not only facilitate a healthy learning environment for the students, but to also represent the Myanmar cultural heritage to the visitors.
The main academic building is designed in a courtyard form that encloses an open garden-court. It rises on plinths and columns that provide for natural lighting and ventilation and is equipped with multiple teaching and learning spaces that include classrooms, laboratories, an auditorium, and recreational areas. The classrooms are fully equipped with state-of-the-art technological teaching aids, such as digital projectors, video-conferencing facilities to enable remote audio-visual sessions, and smart boards.
For students, a large, airy atrium serves as a popular hang-out, either to play a game of badminton, discuss a difficult programming problem, or just catch up with one another. The campus is also equipped with a semi-covered badminton court and a football field. Broad, cemented roads all around the campus double up as a running track for the budding athletes.
