An offer of admission to one of the B.E. (Hons.) programmes in CSE or ECE will be made based on the applicant’s merit and their preference for CSE/ECE. The merit percentage is calculated as a weighted average of the marks obtained in the entrance exam (60%) and the marks obtained in the Matriculation Exam of Myanmar (40%).
A merit list is drawn based on the merit percentage of all applicants, in descending order. An applicant is drawn from the top of the merit list and offered admission to either B.E. (Hons.) in CSE or B.E. (Hons.) in ECE, based on the availability of seats and applicant preference. Then the next applicant in the merit list is considered. This goes on till all the available seats are allocated. For AY 2021-22, admissions will be made only for 120 seats in the BE (Hons.) programme in Computer Science & Engineering discipline.
Applicants offered admission will be informed separately and required to accept their offer by the stated deadline. They will also be required to complete some admission-related formalities.
